Data Center Technician

About This Role

As a Data Center Technician at Techs on Standby, you'll install and maintain data center infrastructure for enterprise and hyperscale clients nationwide. Work on cutting-edge deployments in some of the largest data centers in the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Rack and stack servers, switches, and storage equipment
• Install and terminate fiber and copper cabling
• Perform hardware installations and decommissions
• Label and document infrastructure accurately
• Follow strict change management procedures
• Work with colocation and hyperscale facility teams

Requirements

• 2-4 years data center or IT infrastructure experience
• Experience with server rack installation
• Knowledge of cabling standards and best practices
• Comfortable in high-security environments
• Ability to travel extensively (70-90%)
• Background check eligibility
